World Book Day
What is World Book Day?
This years World Book Day theme is ‘You are a reader!’ - and we want to make reading something anyone can enjoy.
Our Junior Design Factory members, who have dyslexia*, have created a book all about a character called Spike. He is trying to reach the top of a mountain and faces obstacles along the way. The book is in Open Dyslexic - a type of font** that helps people with dyslexia read.
*Many people have dyslexia. It can affect the way you read or write, but it can also mean you like to solve problems differently or think about things in a different and creative way.
**Font is a word used to describe the way letters look
***This is the first draft of this book & may be subject to changes.
